Ambassador
Senga Presents His Credentials
to FM Norov of the Republic of
Uzbekistan

Philippine
Ambassador to Iran H.E. Generoso S. Senga presented
his
credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir I. Norov of the
Republic of Uzbekistan on 08 April 2010 in Tashkent.
During the
meeting, Minister Norov said that his country aims to be integrated
into the world community by establishing relations with many
countries on the basis of equality and mutual understanding.
The Minister
added that one of the most important foreign policy priorities of
Uzbekistan is the intensification of regional cooperation. He
acknowledged the critical role which ASEAN plays in bringing
stability and progress to the region and that Uzbekistan would
greatly benefit from developing ties with the Association as a
sectoral partner.
Ambassador Senga,
for his part, thanked the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan
for all the support given to the Philippine Government in
international fora.
He
expressed his hope to work closely with the Uzbeks on bilateral,
regional and global interests particularly for facilitating
bilateral consultations on political and economic concerns and
affirmed
the Philippine Government's desire for bilateral relations of the
two countries to grow and to be mutually beneficial for the people
of their countries. |
