President Ahmadinejad welcomes Secretary Romulo SFA
Romulo and Minister Mottaki during Press Conference
Foreign Affairs
Secretary Alberto Romulo made a three-day official visit to Tehran
on 13-16 April 2008 in response to the invitation of his Iranian
counterpart, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
During his visit,
Secretary Romulo held meetings with Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Mottaki, Commerce Minister Masoud Mir
Kazemi and Majlis Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel. He discussed with
Iran's top Iranian officials key bilateral issues as well as
regional and international developments. He also signed with his
counterpart a Cultural, Scientific and Educational Programme between
Philippines and Iran.
He likewise had the
opportunity to meet members of the Filipino Community in Tehran at a
special gathering held at the Embassy.
Secretary Romulo was accompanied by his wife, Mrs.
Lovely Rosie Romulo, Undersecretary Rafael Seguis, Director Raquel
Solano, Mr. Alfredo Labrador III and Mrs. Mila Cruz.
